Betty DeLargy focuses her practice on insurance industry matters including regulatory compliance, insurance company acquisitions, mergers and licensing and affiliate transactions. She counsels insurance clients on life and health insurance, senior care products and managed care matters, self insured employee benefit plans and related matters.

Experience

Represents insurance companies, third-party administrators and Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangements (MEWA) in obtaining and maintaining licenses with the Texas Department of Insurance.
Served as general counsel for the Texas Health Insurance Pool advising the board of directors on health insurance matters and open meetings and public information requirements.
Held in-house counsel roles as vice president and general counsel for Transport Life Insurance Company in Ft. Worth, Texas, and as legal counsel for American Progressive Life Insurance Company in Nashville, Tennessee.
