Ms. Tori Gordon has been named the new Associate Director of the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) Office of Land Resources.
The Office of Land Resources encompasses a number of former agency divisions such as Solid Waste Management, Hazardous Waste, and Regulated Storage Tanks.
Ms. Gordon replaces Ms. Tamera Harrelson. Ms. Harrelson recently accepted a position as a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Arkansas Attorney General’s office. See details about Ms. Harrelson's position in a previous blog post here.
Ms. Gordon formerly served as a Policy Advisor in Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchison’s office. Her areas of responsibility included environmental and energy issues. Examples of her activities in the Governor’s office include:
- Governor’s Wind and Energy Coalition Representative
- Southern State’s Energy Board (Governor’s Alternative)
- Arkansas Workforce Retention Taskforce
She received her law degree from Georgetown Law School.
